Stage 1 identified recruitment and retention strategies used in previously conducted trials in the domain of digital health. The results informed Stage 2: two online workshops via MS Teams with PPI group to feedback on identified strategies and then vote on strategies that should proceed to Stage 3. Padlet was used for the online workshops; Padlet is an online application that allows users to create and share material together. Fifteen young people participated in focus groups; focus groups were guided by a Padlet and were audio recorded and transcribed. Strategies containing mutual agreement from Stages 2 and 3 were added to the finalised strategies; all others proceeded to Stage 4, where PPI members voted on remaining strategies. Changes made to the strategy during the trial were reviewed by the PPI group at Stage 5. This data contains the Padlets from Stages 2 and 3 and the transcripts from Stage 3; the PPI group did not consent for the Padlet at Stage 5 to be shared. Methods for processing the data: Each completed Padlet was downloaded as an image. All audio interviews were transcribed verbatim (external transcription service). Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: Excel Standards and calibration information, if appropriate: N/A Environmental/experimental conditions: see "Description of methods used for collection/generation of data" above Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data: Transcripts checked for accuracy against the audio recordings.
