A brief report on a new housing complex of 53 apartments in the town of Ocana in the province of Toledo, designed by architect Manuel Ocana and taking its inspiration from the 'Hanging Houses' of the walled town of Cuenca, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. The lower two floors of the development have an exterior of painted sculpted concrete, giving them the appearance of having been cut from solid rock, while the two upper floors are modern, white-painted blocks overhanging this unusual base.en
