The ‘Evaluating Electronic Voting Systems’ (EEVS) Project was part-funded by JISC from November 2011 to October 2012. It provided the opportunity to evaluate the large scale introduction and deployment of EVS technology for formative and summative assessment and feedback at the University of Hertfordshire. Previously in the 2010-2011 academic year the University of Hertfordshire (UH) had made a major commitment to enhancing its overall student experience and teaching and learning support through the investment of £250,000 in an internal Assessment and Feedback project. The scope of this project had included the provision of 3,845 Electronic Voting Systems (EVS) handsets across eight academic Schools from January 2011. The EEVS project evaluated the use of EVS technology with staff and students and proposed a set of critical success factors for their introduction at institutional level.en
