Abstract
The hyper-connected work environment of the 21st century poses significant challenges, such as technostress, which is stress caused by the use of ICTs. Although this condition can have detrimentalconsequences for individuals’ well-being and organizational outcomes, some important dimensions ofthe phenomenon remain largely unexplored. Such is the case with techno-eustress, which is positivestress experienced when using ICTs, and the focus of this research. This led to forming the aim: Toexplore, understand and explain the management of technostress in organizations. To address this aim,a qualitative approach that uses interpretivism and the themes of trust, resistance to change andorganizational culture will be employed for this study. For the practical application of this aim, acomparative case study of two organizations in the UK and Ireland will be used. The implication of thisstudy for academia and industry are also included in this paper.
