This study investigates the knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions (KAP) of pharmacists regarding antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) during the COVID-19 pandemic in secondary care settings in the UK. Conducted in 2023, the prospective cross-sectional study used an online survey distributed to registered pharmacists at an NHS Foundation Trust. The study, which included 125 participants, found that a majority acknowledged AMR as a significant public health issue and supported AMS practices. High percentages of respondents agreed that AMS promotes prudent antibiotic use and values multidisciplinary collaboration. These findings underscore the pivotal role of pharmacists in enhancing AMS efforts, optimising antibiotic use, and improving patient safety and care quality during the pandemic.en
