        Abstract
This text is a highly relevant guide for schools who are following a condensed Key Stage 3 curriculum, covering all necessary material. The accompanying Teacher's Guide gives advice on planning progression, demonstrating how the new set Framework of yearly teaching objectives for Years nine, eight and seven can be achieved in between six and seven terms. The Connecting Science print and digital resources portray a unique flexibility in designing the curriculum, as the Core plus Options structure gives teachers options in changing the suggested timings. The Pupil's Guide provides cross-referencing across the Key Stage. Teachers aee shown dynamic Learning, which means they may search for and gathering digital resources across the Year nine, eight and seven CD-ROMs. Hodder Education also provides free lesson plans for download with the resources readily packaged into lesson plans that match the Teacher's Guide for KS3 in 2 years. This text complies with all the set requirements of the new Study Programme, with extra offering advice on: - talented students taking GCSEs one year early - taking a longer period for GCSE courses (e.g. separate sciences in years 10 and 11) - delaying the start of KS3 by a term to improve the transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 - delaying the start of KS3 to improve on core skills with low attaining Year 7s.
