Abstract
In this paper I outline four concerns about the way in which the clinical psychology profession seems to be responding to the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies agenda: adapting the medical model in clinical psychology, suggesting that one psychotherapeutic model works for all, a narrow focus on helping one part of the population and agreeing that clinical psychologists can cure people (quickly).
