The aim of this study was to examine the socioeconomic determinants of broadband adopters and non-adopters in the United Kingdom (UK). The study was conducted using a postal survey. A selfadministered questionnaire was sent to 1600 households and a total of 358 replies were obtained from the respondents. This study confirms the findings obtained from a previous study that examined the socio-demographic attributes of the household consumers of broadband technologies in local vicinity, the London Borough of Hillingdon. The findings of this survey support the view the socioeconomic attributes such as age, gender, education, income and occupation have an imperative role in explaining the adoption of broadband in the household. A brief discussion on the implications and contributions is also provided in the conclusion of the paperen
