Transforming education policy : Shaping a democratic future

        Author

        Abstract
The education system is constantly in a state of flux and schools are continually growing in diversity. Individuals expect greater participation crave more meaning in their lives, larger organisations seek more flexibility and inventiveness. This contemporary text builds on these trends, and argues that a new area in education is evolving, conceiving a self-organising system that values an all-inclusive democracy. This text is essential for all (students, parents, academics, policy-makers, partners, practitioners and school sponsors) who are intrigued by the ways that education can expand its own horizons.
