This report presents the findings of an independent evaluation undertaken by the Centre for Effective Education at Queen’s University Belfast of Business in the Community’s Time to Read mentoring programme. The evaluation focused specifically on assessing the impact of Time to Read on primary children's self-esteem, enjoyment of learning, reading skills and aspirations for the future. The evaluation comprised qualitative interviews, focus groups and a randomised controlled trial.
