Behaviour Change Strategies to Influence Antimicrobial Stewardship During COVID-19 Pandemic in acute care settings.

This research explores the effectiveness of Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) interventions, focusing on behavioural change strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic in acute care settings. Employing a systematic literature review following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, the study analyses data from 2007 to 2021. Key findings include the identification of 16 studies where behavioural change strategies play a crucial role in AMS implementation. The study categorises intervention strategies based on frameworks from IDSA, CDC, and UCL Centre for Behaviour Change. It concludes that behaviour change strategies are vital for successful AMS application, particularly during pandemics, and suggests further research for detailed implementation specifics.
