Effect of electric current pulse treatment on the corrosion rate and strength of specimens made of 45 steel.

The paper presents results of static tensile tests of specimens made of 45 steel after holding them for 100 h in a corrosive medium. It has been shown that due to the pretreatment of specimens with electric current pulse of high density, the corrosion rate of metal decreases, as a result of which their strength becomes higher than that of untreated specimens
