dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to develop microfluidic devices and systems for the effective isolation of bacterial Extracellular vesicles (EVs) by applying Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) operation. The purification and maximum quantification of these vesicles is achieved in three stages of TFF operation. The downstream analysis and characterization of isolated EVs is performed using Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA). Developing microfluidic systems and techniques for Extracellular vesicle isolation based on their size variation can overcome the issues of EV analysis from a complex bacterial culture which can also bridge the gap between research and clinical services. | en |
